Bridge Street School proudly celebrated World Book Day with a wonderful day filled with creativity, enthusiasm, and a shared love of reading. Staff and pupils came together to mark this important event, recognising how reading can open doors, spark imaginations, and inspire lifelong learning. World Book Day plays a vital role in encouraging pupils to explore new stories, discover new authors, and experience the joy that books can bring — both inside and outside the classroom.
As part of the celebrations, pupils were treated to a special brunch cooked by our fabulous chef and teacher, John. His hard work and fantastic cooking made the morning feel even more special, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved. Following brunch, pupils took part in a variety of engaging activities and games organised by our excellent English teacher, Caroline. Her creativity and passion for literature shone through, offering pupils fun, interactive ways to develop their reading skills and celebrate their favourite books.
A huge thank you goes to all the staff who dressed up, supported activities, and helped make the day such a success. Their enthusiasm and willingness to get involved helped bring stories to life and made the event memorable for all our pupils. World Book Day at Bridge Street School truly highlighted the power of reading and the strength of our school community.
