Students in Key Stage 2 at Bridge Street School took part in an engaging water safety session this week, learning valuable skills that could help save a life.
The children explored how to respond in an emergency, including learning the basics of CPR and what to do if someone is in difficulty in the water. They also learnt about the Water Safety Code and discussed the risks associated with open water.
With warmer weather and school holidays approaching, the session provided an important reminder about staying safe around rivers, lakes, canals and other open water environments.
A big well done to all students for their enthusiasm and excellent participation throughout the activities. These are vital life skills that will help them stay safe and make informed decisions around water.
