Students from Bridge Street School recently participated in their Bronze Qualifying Expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh Award. This was their final expedition that has followed on from months of preparation and training.

Completing a total walking distance of 16km in extreme heat and rain, pupils excelled in their map-reading and cooking skills as well as developing their perseverance, independence, teamwork and sheer determination to complete the 2-day expedition. Completion of the expedition has resulted in excellent outcomes, as well as life-long skills, that will work towards setting them up for the future – the sky is the limit for our learners!
